I just received my very first AngBao from my MUMMMMMMY. =D
Had Reunion dinner over at my ah-ma place earlier just now. This year is rather special, we had steamboat instead of the usual dishes and rice. Uncle, aunties and families came over as well. I love reunion dinner<3 After that was just slacking around, listen to the adults talking. Then my cousin ws came, chatted with him for awhile over at my house (whoops, forgot to mention that ah-ma house is just next to mine).
Though we had more than ten people present, the quantity of food is too much. So ah-ma kept "forcing" wansheng to eat his third round of dinner.
Ah-ma: da boy, go and eat (in hokkien)
Auntie: da boy, bu yao chi le hor, gang cai chi liang pan fun liao. Yao control hor. (da boy, don't eat already, two plates of rice earlier on, must control)
Ah-ma: da boy a ni san, si mi conto (da boy is so skinny, don't need to control)
Eveyone burst out laughing. I think its because everyone didn't expect ah-ma to know the meaning of control. The way she pronounce control damn funny lar.
But one thing i don't like about this kind of gathering is that the adults start asking "how's school", "where you working now". Worst still, my mom commented that i've grew fatter. =( Okay, i know its obvious and after hearing that comment, i'm determine to do weigh-loss exercise consistently. HAH.
Now i'm blogging and watching live CNY special on channel 8. Its going to be twelve soon, YAY. Lets stay up late tonight and shou ye in hope for longevity for our parents.
